La Pampa province is best known for record red stag deer, ferocious boars and long range black buck antelope hunting. Ecuagringo researched and partnered with one of Argentina's best guides; Martin Vivanco. Let Martin treat you to some of the best open area ranches for fare chase hunts by foot or stand. Most of our hunting areas offer the opportunity to take red stag, boar, black buck antelope all with some luck in the same day! The hunting is just that good. You will not find a better deal for game, service and price anywhere.

Red Stag.
The European version of elk, the red stag is one of the most fascinating creatures on earth to hunt. Large and majestic antlers, sight and sense of smell as good as it gets and 400 pounds of deer is what these creatures offer hunters. Vivanco operates in various ranches with some exceeding 50,000 acres of managed hunting land. All the game we offer is free open range. While some areas have fences this hunting is unlike high fenced lot fed game. The game moves and jumps the fences moving from one ranch to the other making these hunting truly open range and not "canned". Martin has enlisted some of the best guides in the business such as Jorge "el Gordo" Sanchez and son Esteban. You will not find more knowledgeable hunting guides and trackers.

We recommend 25-06 on up with minimum 120 grain bullets to shoot the deer.
308 and 30-06 are excellent choices.

Best times- season runs March 1 to August 15. However the absolute best chance to find large stag is during thebrama. Deer will bugle to attract does thus giving away their position. On an average day during the brama a hunter may approach 5 to 15 bucks to check out. The brama is not exact but generally your best chances of hitting it right are March 15 to April 15 every year. At least 5 days of hunting is recommended to increase your chances of a very good deer.

Wild Boar.
Argentina is perhaps the best place in South America to pursue hogs. The wild boar is a true European wild pig. One of the toughest animals to bring down with a rifle. The most exciting way to hunt these animals is with use of dogs, guides and a very sharp knife. The chase takes you through the brush and woods with dogs eventually securing the hog and the hunter needing to get close enough to make a clean kill. If the use of a knife and close encounters with a mean pig are not your like then hunting from a blind on watering holes and corn baited areas may be what you want.

Black Buck Antelope.
By far, these antelopes are the monarchs of Argentina's long range hunting. With an eye to rival a hawk and a sense of smell perhaps equal to a whitetail deer, the antelope is truly a distance shooter's dream. They are as plentiful as they are graceful. With many bucks reaching over the magical 50 cm mark, Argentina offers some of the best trophies in the species.
